Surface Winders

We offer a complete line of surface winders with roll widths up to seven meters and speed capacities up to 3000 ft/minute.  Our custom engineered winders are designed to meet the simple, sophisticated and most complex nonwovens and paper applications.  Our Mark III and Mark IV Surface Winding Systems, unparalleled because of their unique multi-drum design, operate with continuous winding capability. All of our surface winders feature Parkinson Technologies’ Positran® Transfer System, which allows the ability to continuously wind during automatic cut-over at full line speed.

• Traveling rider roll from first winding location to final location with smooth, uninterrupted nip force
• Web cut system with linear bearing guides, cylinder cushions and self-aligning couplings
• Oncoming shaft acceleration to match line speed prior to web contact for cut and transfer
• Linear-bearing-guided rider rolls and shaft hold-downs

• Storage system for multiple shaft sizes
