Parkinson at SINCE 2001 Show in Shanghai, China
September 28, 2001
Woonsocket, Rhode Island-USA
Parkinson Technologies, just finished their exhibition at the SINCE 2001 Nonwovens show in Shanghai, China. SINCE, the largest Nonwovens show in northern Asia, is biannual event that attracts companies from China, Taiwan, and Japan to exhibitors of raw materials, machinery, and finished goods from around the world.
The SINCE show, and related visits, also gave the opportunity to meet existing customers in the area. Parkinson and their Marshall and Williams Plastics divison have installed over $35MM of equipment in Asia over the past 10 years. Old friends from Hangzhou Advanced Nonwovens, Mytrex, and Cheng Fong were available to discuss the growth potential in the region. All signs point to an explosive market, with Parkinson well positioned to reap the benefits.

2001 in Shanghai China.
Parkinson will install a $500k Single Drum Auomatic Winder at Nordson’s customer TEDA this fall. TEDA’s line will produce meltblown PET for air filters in automotive and industrial applications. OEM’s, such as Nordson, are a key to increasing our presence in the Asia-Pacific region, as well as around the world.
Parkinson has been serving the nonwovens market for over 30 years with innovative equipment to meet the needs of future development. Parkinson acquired the Marshall and Williams Plastics Division in the spring of 2000; they are a turnkey supplier of complete biaxial orientation lines for plastic film and nonwoven substrates. Parkinson is also affiliated with Key Filters, a manufacturer of filtration equipment for the plastics industry.
