Parkinson Announces Full-Scale Winder Lab
March 28,2005
Woonsocket, Rhode Island-USA
Parkinson Technologies Inc., a leading designer and manufacturer of large-scale winding, web-handling and plastics processing equipment, announces that work has begun on a new full-scale R&D winder lab. Targeted for completion by September 2005, the lab is designed for customer demonstration, evaluation, process development, and training using a broad variety of materials, including nonwovens, plastics and paper.
The lab will be equipped with a Parkinson Dual Drum Automatic Winder and a highly automated Parkinson Mark II Horizontal Winder, with capabilities for large diameter rolls, high loft materials, and fast cycle time requirements. The winders will offer in-line slitting, cross-cut and plunge-cut capabilities, and will also feature robotic shaft extraction and automated roll-handling. The equipment will highlight Parkinson’s new modular design that delivers high performance and full features in a shipment-container footprint.
Please contact us regarding your specific needs and for the lab’s future availability.
