Before and After of the Parkinson Winder
Parkinson Supplies Winder for the Nonwovens Cooperative Research Center Partner’s Lab at NC State
March 17, 2003
Woonsocket, Rhode Island-USA
Parkinson Technologies is proud to join the distinguished list of suppliers at the Nonwovens Cooperative Research Center Partner’s Lab at NC State University with a donation of a refurbished automatic surface winder.
This Parkinson winder was originally built in 1966 for Kendall’s Nonwovens operation in Walpole, MA. In 1983, Parkinson refurbished the machine and it was again restored to service. Parkinson is pleased to once again refurbish and update this winder for the next 37 years of operation! With the help of its co-suppliers, Tidland Airshafts, Mount Hope Bow Rolls, Hayden Plasma Roll Coating, and Rockwell Automation, this winder has been restored to “better-than-new” condition.
“We are grateful to be a part of this state-of-the-art Nonwovens Research facility, and look forward to be a part of the development of next generation Nonwovens products”, say Andrew Miller, Sales Manager for Parkinson. “This machine is a great testament in itself to the durability of Parkinson equipment. Over 35 years old, and ready for more!”
Parkinson has been serving the Nonwovens market for over 35 years with innovative equipment to meet the needs of future development. Parkinson engineers, designs, and manufactures surface, turret, and center/surface winders and unwinds, as well as auxiliary equipment for the Nonwovens, Plastics, and Paper industries.
