Sales Manager

Parkinson Technologies Inc., a growing manufacturer of large-scale process equipment, has an immediate opening for a Sales Manager based at Parkinson's headquarters or at a home office location. The individual will report to the Director of Sales and Marketing and will be responsible for sales activities to the nonwovens production and converting market segment. Benefits include a sales bonus plan, a 401(K) plan and medical, dental, and life insurance.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, manage and lead technical sales activities
  • Formulate and implement key account sales programs
  • Develop long term working relationships with existing and potential customers
  • Participate in product development and marketing activities

Qualifications & Requirements

    • Minimum 5 years of direct capital equipment sales experience to the nonwovens industry, preferably including winding and web-handling equipment
    • Equivalent experience in a product management or sales engineering role will be considered if extensive customer interaction is demonstrated
    • Demonstrated proficiency with basic nonwovens process technology and the technical aspects of large-scale equipment utilized in nonwovens production
    • Technical degree plus commercial experience or equivalent industry experience
    • Strong sales drive with a solutions-oriented approach
    • Ability and commitment to interface with decision makers on all levels
    • Extensive Rolodex of North American nonwovens industry personnel at customer plant and HQ locations
    • Travel commitment of 30-50%, including international
