Field Service Technician

Parkinson Technologies Inc., a growing manufacturer of winding and plastic processing equipment, has an immediate opening for a Field Service Technician. The individual will report to the Field Service Manager and be responsible for installation and field support of our custom-designed equipment. Benefits include medical, dental, life insurance and 401(K) plan.

We are looking for experienced technicians with strong aptitude in mechanical and electrical trades and the ability to work independently as well as direct others.

Experience with industrial equipment installations, trade labor supervision and plastics machinery a definite plus.

This position requires extensive travel.

Responsibilities:

• Perform and supervise installations of complex web handling andplastics processing machinery.
• Analyze and troubleshoot machinery and implement electro-mechanical field modifictions, if required. 
• Ensure that our equipment meets all customer requirements.
• Interface with customers and customer supplied trade labor.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years hands-on experience with industrial equipment.
• Creative problem solving ability.
• General aptitude in mechanical and electrical trades.
• Ability to work independently.
• Ability to direct others
• Willingness to travel

Additional Considerations:

• Previous trade labor supervision
• Working knowledge of electrical systems
• Experience with plastics, paper or other web based processes
• Associates degree or relevant continuing education
