Field Service Engineer
Parkinson Technologies Inc., a growing manufacturer of winding and plastic processing equipment, has an immediate opening for a Field Service Engineer. The individual will report to the Field Service Manager and be responsible for field support of our custom-designed equipment. Benefits include medical, dental, life insurance and 401(K) plan.
We are looking for an experienced electro-mechanical engineer who has a strong background in web based continuous processing machinery and processes. If you enjoy making industrial machinery perform, and like to travel to installation locations worldwide, then this is an ideal opportunity.
Responsibilities:
- Perform start-up and commissioning of complex web handling and plastics processing machinery.
- Debug and modify PLC, HMI and Variable Speed Drive programs and configurations to enhance machine performance.
- Analyze and troubleshoot machinery and implement electro-mechanical field modifications, if required.
- Insure that our equipment meets all customer requirements.
- Interface with customers.
Qualifications:
- BSEE or relevant technical experience.
- 10+ years hands-on experience with web handling, winding and/or continuous processing plastics equipment.
- PLC programming and debug proficiency (AB SLC5/ControlLogix5000-Siemens S7 a plus).
- AC Vector drive application and tuning expertise.
- Ability to perform HMI screen modifications.
- Creative problem solving ability.
- General mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to work independently.
- Good interpersonal relations skills
Additional Considerations:
- Willingness to travel (at least 50%).
